The UK Was Once A Nation Of Shopkeepers

The UK was once described as “a nation of Shopkeepers” by Napoleon.

It’s nowadays perhaps better labelled as “a nation of shop lovers” such is the affection people have for spending their cash at the local shopping centre.

Funnily enough, JCW Floor Screeding has been carrying out floor screeding work for various high-profile shopfitters over the past few weeks at several shopping centres nationwide including:

Michael Kors, Birmingham – opening at the famous Bullring later this summer, the store of the world-renowned and award-winning designer of luxury accessories and ready-to-wear will be located on the Upper East Mall of the site.

Ippudo, London – the much-loved Japanese ramen chain is expanding into Europe, and has opened its first Hakata Ippudo Ramen shop in the capital.

Thomas Pink, London – makers of luxury British shirts, silk ties and other fashionable accessories, the shop is situated within Westfield Shopping Centre.

The Entertainer, West Bromwich – the newest branch of the highly popular toy shop opens in August at New Square in West Bromwich, a shopping complex that opened exactly a year ago.

T K Maxx, Leigh – home to men’s and women’s designer clothing, a new TK Maxx opens at Parsonage Retail Park on June 5th and occupies more than 15,074 sq. ft.

Subway, Blackpool – the submarine sandwich franchise has extended its presence in the seaside town.
